Helping Client Visualization with IRender nXt SketchUp Extension

Hello Emily! When did you start using SketchUp and IRender nXt?
I was originally introduced to SketchUp and IRender nXt during my bachelor’s degree in interior design in 2013. I proceeded to become a solopreneur in residential design and continued to use both software programs to help my clients visualize my design proposals.

What do you like about IRender nXt?
I like the fact that IRender nXt is simple to use, that I can change the lighting from interior to exterior, with the sun in different locations throughout the day and year for different effects. I also like the artificial light element for lamps, undercounter lighting, etc.

It is also quite convenient to be able to turn my monthly subscription on and off as needed, using the product when necessary and turning it off as I work on other areas of my business.

Please give us some background on a recent project you’ve done for which you’ve produced renderings using IRender nXt.
I most recently did some renderings for one of my contractors who had a client who was flipping a house in Venice, California, and wanted some visual images of what the remodel would look like. I created a kitchen, living/dining area and bathrooms based on style elements provided by the client.

And these are from a master bath project in Los Angeles.

What feedback do you receive from your contractor on the renderings? 
My contractor, Emmanual, loves that I put a personal and creative touch on his projects and how it helps the client visualize the space. It helps people see if the image they have in their mind will really look the way they think it will! But really the biggest compliment Emmanual gives me is his repeat business of eight years, and we are still going.
