Fun and Powerful Rendering with IRender nXt SketchUp Extension

Bonjour Benoit! Tell us a little about your business and you.
I am an interior designer and have been in practice for over 25 years. I do residential and commercial design projects, creating 2D plans, 3D renderings in colour and black and white, and photomontages.

When did you start using IRender nXt?
I have been using IRender nXt for over 15 years and still really enjoy the program.

What do you like about IRender nXt?
IRender is a fun tool and really powerful. We love it! It’s easy to use and enables me to make whatever adjustments I need to produce great renderings.

I use IRender for classic 3D colour rendering and photomontages. While these require more work, it provides the WOW effect needed to win projects. Clients engage more and provide more input when we use images. IRender is the perfect tool for creating those images.

What elements do you pay most attention to when rendering? I always take particular care with lighting, reflection and transparency. IRender enables me to quickly and easily make those adjustments. I particularly like being able to change lighting intensity during rendering using the lighting channels on the rendering window. I highly recommend it!

I also appreciate being able to save my renderings in different image formats which enables me to quickly incorporate them in the format the customer prefers.

Please give us some background on a recent project you’ve done for which you’ve produced renderings using IRender nXt.
We recently bid on a restoration project to convert an old college into a hotel and spa complex. Below are some 3D colour renderings and 2D lines drawings from the project.

What feedback did you receive on these renderings? 
The reaction at the presentation from the client was very positive. I invariably receive positive comments about my project presentations, and I say a quiet thank you to IRender every time.
